Name: Mayapple (May or Apple)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Biromantic asexual
Species: Dog or human
Age: Adolescent
Personality: Tomboyish, energetic, lonely, and clingy. She is essentially touch-starved, having been alone for almost her entire life. She's incredibly naive, having little to no social interaction for most of her life, but only when it comes to people. When it comes to survival, she has enough street smarts to get by perfectly fine, despite the apocalyptic world she grew up in. Despite the harshness of her reality, she has a very optimistic attitude overall, which she somewhat uses as a coping mechanism.
Physical Description:
In dog form Albino; 2 ft. at the shoulder; course fur often covered in mud and/or dust. She wears a green scarf, air filter/mask/harness, green finger-less wool gloves, and bandages on her front paws. The air filter is rather heavy, and the mask gets in the way a lot, but Mayapple is terrified of the unknown gasses and chemicals that could be in the air, so she keeps the heavy equipment on as much as possible. Her bandages are purely aesthetic, or so she claims. However, Baroness has the suspicion that she's actually just trying to make her feel less embarrassed about her own bandaged legs.
In human form Albino; 5'3 and weighs around 105 lbs. Her hair is unkempt and short, and she has a fairly gender-neutral frame, making her gender extremely hard to guess without hearing her voice or getting her to take off her mask. It doesn't help that she almost always has many layers of clothing on, including gloves, her scarf, and a large trench coat, even indoors or in warm relatively warm weather. Baroness has to practically tear hear clothes off just to get her to take a bath.
History: She refuses to tell anyone what happened in her past, and most of her earlier memories are repressed. May spent a lot of time simply roaming and scavenging, and happened to be fortunate enough to find food most of the time. She has tried to approach multiple strangers, which are fairly rare in the post-war world. However, she was chased off or avoided each time. When she met Baroness and she didn't immediately get pushed away, she grew attached and now follows her around like a puppy.
